The EX89™ sneaker combines the original influences of the 1989 GEL-EXTREME™ basketball shoe with modern cushioning. It was originally designed by Toshikazu Kayano in the 1980s as his first design for ASICS. The layered leather construction of the upper is also combined with inspirational colour blocks that match the uniforms of the iconic NBA team of that era.
