Nike sneakers
The sports brand Nike found its origins in the U.S. state of Oregon. The company was started by Bill Bowerman, who was coach of the University of Oregon athletics team. His fascination was constantly optimizing running shoes. And so his company, Blue Ribbon Sports, was born on Jan. 25, 1964. Only in 1971, the brand adopted the name Nike, inspired by the Greek goddess of victory. The well-known Swoosh we all know was designed by a design student for $35 and has since become the epitome of Nike. In 1979, Nike developed their "Air" technology, and patented it right away. Cleverly, because 5 years later Michael Jordan signed a contract with Nike and his Air Jordan line of shoes was released. To this day, this is Nike's most successful sponsorship deal, both for Jordan and Nike. The logo became the famous "Jumpman." Soon Michael Jordan became a superstar and Air Jordan one of the most successful shoe lines ever, with sales exceeding $100 million. By 1988, Nike's success was still growing, in part because of their new slogan; "Just Do It" This probably sounds familiar to you too. The slogan was developed in 1988 and played a major role in major campaigns Nike ran. Today, Nike is also the official sponsor of both the NFL and the NBA, the two largest sports organizations in America.
Classic or futuristic; your choice
For men, there are countless models on the market. Favorites include Nike Dunks, Air Force 1s and the Blazer. The entire Jordan line is also very popular, with different models coming out regularly in various colors and heights. Futuristic releases, such as the VaporMax are also in high demand. Do you like classic models? Then the Nike Cortez is a perfect option. These models regularly come out in a variety of colors. If you like more of a bold or basic look, there are also plenty of models to choose from, such as the Air Max 95.
The Swoosh brings you ultimate comfort
There are a number of technologies that Nike uses, to make the shoes as comfortable as possible. One is Nike Air, with the - often visible - Airbags in the soles. Zoom technology is also used a lot, with lightweight and durable material. Most Nike shoes are primarily made with leather, synthetic materials or rubber. Whatever material, Nike makes sure you can move effortlessly.
