Nike was founded in 1964 in Beaverton, Oregon, United States and originally opened their doors as Blue Ribbon Sports. In 1971, the name was changed to the Greek goddess of victory: Nike. Nike sneakers are known for the "Swoosh" and the iconic "Just Do It" slogan with which they gave a universal yet personal touch to the brand. Nike created a name for itself by introducing "Air" technology into Nike sneakers.
