Rudi Dassler, the brother of Adi Dassler - founder of adidas - , founded Puma in 1948. Originally a sports brand for women, men and children where innovation is the aim. That innovation is the most important thing in all Puma sneakers when you look at the past. Shortly after its founding, Puma produced the first football boota with screw studs and the famous Form-Strip logo was designed. Although it has become an iconic logo, it mainly had a practical function: the flowing lines that run from the heel to the inside of the shoe help stabilize the Puma sneakers. This well-known logo, along with the leaping cougar, can be seen on both classic and modern Puma sneakers.
Puma sneakers in a variety of colors and materials
Puma is known for its sports sneakers, but in recent years it has put down collections that are very strong. For example, the Puma women's sneakers and Puma men's sneakers have completely changed the street scene. Think for example of models such as the Puma RS-Z, Puma RS-X, Puma Cali or the Puma Mayze. All these silhouettes have made Puma an established name in the fashion and sneaker landscape. Previously, the well-known models were also the Puma Clyde or the Puma Suede.
Collaborations and influencers
Besides having such well-known sneakers and sneaker models, Puma is also known for its great collaborations. Think of names like J Cole, Jay-Z, Dua Lipa, Neymar or Rihanna. There are also collaborations with high-end brands like Maison Kitsuné or Ami.
